What should I know about the air condition, ice and freezer storage?2023-07-12T15:31:50+00:00
Please do not lower the air conditioner below 72 degrees as it can freeze up as a result of our warm weather on the ocean which can easily become damaged with both the warm ocean air and salt. If you have any problems with the A/C please notify our caretaker.
There is a 300 lb ice machine and large freezer in our shed. Please understand that this ice machine and large freezer is meant for two families. If you’re planning a large fishing or boat trip we recommend you bring extra bags of ice.

What should we know about the weather and seaweed?2023-07-12T15:25:35+00:00

Florida is known for its wet season during the months of May-August. Please keep in mind that we cannot control the weather and won’t be responsible should you experience bad weather during your stay. If the weather is inclement and the power does go out, we have a full generator.

Seaweed and pollution is a huge problem here in South Florida. Over the course of the last few years Cuba and Brazil have had fires that as a result, caused major seaweed on our beaches in the Florida Keys.

We use our tractor to clear the beach of seaweed as best we can but we can only use it when the weather/wind conditions are acceptable, therefore; the tractor is not used everyday.
